Twice a week during the summer months and most long weekends such as Victoria Day, and Thanksgiving, the early birds will get to fish for prizes. The "Family Fun" social itinerary encourages parents and kids get up bright and early to catch the keepers. Kids, Cops & Canadian Tire Fishing day On Saturday July 5th, 2008 the Delawana Inn is proud to be hosting a Kids, Cops & Canadian Tire Fishing event. From 10:00am - 12:00pm, guests of the Delawana will have the opportunity to cast into the waters of Georgian Bay with some local Ontario Provincial Police officers. The event should be extra special as it coincides with the 2008 Ontario Free Family Fishing Weekend.

The motorized boats are 14 ft sea nymphs aluminum boats with 9.9 or 15hp Yamaha 4 stroke outboards. For this season no operator card is required. They come with a full tank of gas, all safety equipment and a map of the local waterways. They can hold 4 adults or up to 5 people including children and are available for full day or half-day rentals. They are easy to operate and each operator is given a lesson by our staff.
