The Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort has some of the best
beach locations in the Province of Ontario. They include several
beaches on our own Royal Island, some private. Our largest, the
North Beach is supervised and close to the accommodation, and the
tennis courts. Combine this with all of our water sports and you
have an exceptional Ontario beach family
resort.
Pontoon boat rides are one of the most popular activities at the Delawana. The 30,000 islands area allows for gorgeous scenery and great photo opportunities. New for 2008 we're adding another pontoon boat to our fleet - this will make 6 in total!

Water
sports are available 7 days a week from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM during
the summer season (June 24th - September 1st, 2008) . Water sports
during the spring and fall sessions are subject to advanced reservations
and availability. Age and weather restrictions may apply.

1. Water banana boat rides
require minimum of 3 riders per ride.
2. Frequent skier cards available, 10th ski is free.
3. All rates subject to applicable taxes.
Runs are approximately 10-15
minutes long and service charge and taxes not included in the above
rates. Delawana Ski School is available from June 24th - September 1st, 2008, 7 days a week from
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and sign up at the West Beach is required before
going out on your ride. Banana Boat ride requires a minimum of 3
riders.
Fishing
Kids love to fish off the Delawana docks and shoreline! The Georgian
Bay area is well known for the great variety of species and
many world trophies. Bass, Pickerel, Northern Pike, Crappie, and
Perch are common. The "Big Ones" Sturgeon and Musky are
less common but can be caught with a little bit of luck. You must
carry a valid license with you when you fish in Ontario. For more

Georgian
Bay Boat Cruises
Take a relaxing 45 minute, narrated boat cruise that explores the
beautiful Georgian Bay waterways
surrounding the Delawana. Cruises depart every half hour from 9:30
AM - 6:30 PM.

Barracuda Water Bikes
This innovative 2-passenger water bike is the coolest ride on the
water. Human-powered motor design with a sophisticated roto-molded
hull. Rediscover nature’s beauty while cruising Georgian

Water Bee Peddle boats
Water Bee pedal boat is self-bailing attractive. It has two sitting
platforms at the rear so kids can splash their feet in the water

Motor
Boat Rental
Motorized boat rentals for fishing or sight seeing are available
May - October. The 14 ft. aluminum 'Sea Nymphs' are equipped with
life jackets and all necessary safety equipment. Fishing licenses
& equipment can be rented or purchased from Up North Outfitters
Vacation Store. Training session included
in rental. 9.9 & 15 HP motors available.
$1000.00 security deposit is required for boat rental.
$55.00/half day (4 hours), plus taxes

Safaris Tours

Sailing at the Delawana
At the Delawana we offer both the Capri 14.2 and the Capri 16.5
sail boats. Deposit
of $1000.00 is required.
The
Capri 14.2 is the perfect combination of day sailing comfort and
racing performance for the active sailing family or couple. The
stability and easy handling make the 14.2 an ideal sail boat to
learn in.
The Capri 16.5 is the latest day-sailor in the
popular Capri line. The big roomy cockpit is ideal for family outings
with individual seats inboard and wide coamings outboard to suit
your individual sailing style. Proof of sailing experience required
for rentals.
Docking
The Delawana can accommodate a limited number of watercrafts. If
you plan on bringing a watercraft with you, and you are a registered
hotel guest there is no additional charge. *No Pets Allowed*
Guests
visiting the Mackinaw Dockside Restaurant or Royal Dining room are
not charged docking fees. Visitors staying overnight on their boats,
or using hotel facilities must register at the front desk, and obtain
either an overnight permit, or a recreational day pass at an additional
charge
Docking available for
$1.00 per foot (plus taxes and service charge), we do not have hydro
or water at the docks.
